COURSES Our Fashion Design courses are designed to help students develop sewing skills to be used in Fashion Design as well as to prepare students for further studies in Fashion Design at College/University level. Our classes are very small consisting of a maximum of 10 students. No prior sewing experience is required for enrollment in any of these courses. We specialize in Freehand Fashion Design but also offer pattern drafting classes. A certificate is awarded at the successful completion of your course of study. The following Courses are available: FD105 Duration: 6 weeks Course Title: Introduction to Sewing Course Description: How to use the sewing machine Fabric Fundamentals Seams, darts, pockets, collars, zipper insertion, pleats, facings How to take Body measurement FD110 Duration: 6 weeks Course Title: How to make Skirts FD105 is required to take this course FD115 Duration: 8 weeks Course Title: How to make Shirts and Tops FD120 Duration: 8 weeks Course Title: How to make Jackets (lined and un-lined) FD125 Duration: 8 weeks Course Title: How to make Dresses FD130 Duration: 8 weeks Course Title: How to make Pants FD140 This course specifically teaches students to design male garments.
